Carpinteria singles player Austin Stone swept his three sets and brother Max Stone swept two as the Warriors clinched the Citrus Coast League title with a 14-4 win against Nordhoff on Tuesday.
The doubles teams of Ian Thomas/Zaiden Juarez and Connor Gralewski/Mathew Endow went a combined 6-0 in sets for Carpinteria.
“I was most impressed with Ian Thomas/Zaiden Juarez, as they both decided to take a lot of pace off and play a more consistent and patient game,” Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant said. And Gralewski/Endow also “are really starting to gel at the right time,” he added.
“Overall, I was very happy with our squad today. We showed up when we needed to and had a great attitude and energy from the start.”
Carpinteria is now 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the Citrus Coast League.
