Isela Zamora scored two goals to lead the Carpinteria girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Bishop Diego on Tuesday night.

Zamora finished a pass from Ashley Verduzco in the 14th minute and scored her second goal off Sophia Mora’s deflected shot in the 26th minute.

The Warriors’ third goal came off a combination play between Verduzco and Evelyn Lara in the 52nd minute.

“I really love to see the hard work we are putting into practice start to bear fruit on the pitch,” said Carpinteria coach Freddy Martinez. “I know it’s a long road to get to our ultimate goal, being a playoff contender, but I’m enjoying watching the continued growth of this young group of players.”
