Carpinteria goalie Jacob Taff scored on a full-court shot at the buzzer to beat Ventura 14-13 in a non-league match.

Ventura led the game by two points midway through the fourth quarter. Carpinteria managed to tie things up with 54 seconds left on a goal by Justin Main.

Aside from his incredible last-second goal, Taff made 14 saves. Asher Smith led the offense for the Warriors with six goals, and Main added five.

Ventura opened the game with two unanswered goals. There were three lead changes the rest of the way.

Carpinteria assistant coach credited team play on both offense and defense with the win.
