The Carpinteria swim teams swept a Citrus Coast League dual meet against Hueneme on Wednesday.
The girls team took a 122-24 victory and the boys won 115-15.
Freshman Giulia Piccoletti (200 IM and 100 breaststroke) and Kate Isaac (200 freestyle and 100 backstroke) led the Warriors as double individual winners. The boys had two sophomore swimmers claim double individual wins, Jackson Melton (200 IM and 100 breaststroke) and Asher Smith (200 freestyle and 100 backstroke).
The girls earning CIF consideration times were: Piccoletti and Lilli Nemetz in the 200 IM, Erin Otsuki in the 50 and 100 freestyle, and Nemetz in the 500 freestyle. The trio added Taylor Classen to make the 200 medley relay then had freestyle specialist Piper Clayton to Classen, Otsuki and Nemetz to go under the 4 x 100 freestyle time. Otsuki led off the relay with a near automatic time of 55:60 (leadoff legs splits can be counted as an individual swim).
The Warrior boys making individual consideration times were Melton and Augie Sheaffer in the 200 IM. The boys took all three relays under the consideration mark, with the 400 free being the closest to automatic qualifying with a 3:33:67.
“The team had many personal best times. From top to bottom the team continues to get stronger and faster,” said coach Jon Otsuki.
