Carpinteria’s Madison Priess had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, but the host Malibu Waves came away with a 46-25 Citrus Coast league win Tuesday.

“The Lady Warriors, for whatever reasons, could not get their mojo going tonight,” Carpinteria coach Henry Gonzales said.

Malibu took a 15-9 lead at the end of the first and pulled away from there.

“I’m sure we will bounce back and have plenty of mojo (Wednesday) night on our Senior Night” against Santa Paula, Gonzales said.

The Warriors 0-8 in league and 2-15 overall. Malibu is 2-5 and 6-8.
