Cason Goodman and Will Dunaway each scored two goals, powering the Santa Barbara High boys soccer team to a 6-0 rout of Santa Ynez on Senior Night at Peabody Stadium on Thursday.

“Tonight we played good soccer, and our seniors were able to play in front of their friends and families and gave a great performance,” said coach Ricardo Alcaraz.

Dunaway got the scoring started in the 22nd minute. He received a ball from Rockwood Foster in the middle of the field, turned a defender and dribbled 30 yards before slipping a low shot past the goalkeeper.

Dunaway made it 2-0 four minutes later, scoring off a through ball from Foster at the top of the 18-yard box.

Goodman scored on a combination play with Dunaway at the top of the box to make it 3-0.

“Will and Cason have been very clinical around the box the last few games and they are playing well off each other,” said Alcaraz.

Brandon Espinoza fed Goodman for his second goal of the night in the 51st minute.

Lucca Peluffo scoree the fifth goal and sophomore Ely Myers finished his varsity goal to cap the scoring.

Santa Barbara improved to 5-1 in league play. The Dons play at Santa Ynez on Saturday at 1 p.m.
