Lobero LIVE presents Tab Benoit, with special guest The Rumble featuring Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr., 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19.

Beloit, a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist, has built a 30-year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues.
He has also won five Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice); and an induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
Benoit’s guitar tone and Otis-Redding-ish voice are recognizable. He doesn’t rely on any effects, and his set up is simple, consisting of a guitar, cord, and Category 5 amplifier. The effects listeners hear come from the artist’s fingers.
Since the release of his first album for Justice Records, Benoit has taken his brand of Cajun-influenced blues across the U.S., Canada and Europe. He has recorded and/or performed with numerous renowned artists, including Junior Wells, George Porter Jr, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Billy Joe Shaver, and Maria Muldaur.
The Rumble, which features six Grammy-nominated musicians, immerses its audiences in a unique facet of New Orleans culture.
The group is composed of Second Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr. of the Golden Eagles; trumpeter Aurélien Barnes; trombonist José Maize Jr.; bassist TJ Norris; guitarist Ari Teitel; keyboardist Andriu Yanovski; and drummer Trenton O’Neal.
Their live show fuses color and propulsive sound, with each member sharing vocal duties and engaging the audience in classic Mardi Gras Indian-style call-and-response chanting.
