Cate swim celebrated Senior Night with a sweep of Foothill Tech and Laguna Blanca on Friday at Emmett Horowitz Aquatic Center.
With the victories, the Rams capped off an undefeated regular season. They honored seniors Ben White, Stella Rogers, Phin Stephenson, Joba Samson, Tallulah Bates and Baye Breene.
White earned a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke and came in second place in the 200 freestyle behind teammate Josiah Hansen.
Rogers had a strong performance as well on her Senior Night, placing first in the 50 freestyle and second in the 100 freestyle. Cate’s Maddi Kollock came in first in the 100 freestyle.
Stephenson picked up a third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke and joined White, Wil Rivera and Jae Wykoff to capture the 200 medley relay victory.
Samson came in third place in both the 50 and 100 freestyle races amidst deep fields in both events. Meanwhile, Bates came in third in the 500 freestyle and fifth in the 200 freestyle.
Breene rounded out the senior competitors by taking fourth in both the 100 and 200 freestyles.
Other Cate individual event winners were Emi Kanda Gleeson (200 IM, 100 breaststroke), Jae Wykoff (50 freestyle), Jen Won (100 butterfly), Josiah Hansen (100 butterfly), Rivera (500 freestyle) and Kollock (100 backstroke).
The Rams will return to action at the Tri-Valley League Championships beginning on Wednesday, April 30.
