Villanova 14, Bishop Diego 4
Bishop Diego lost a Tri-Valley League match to Villanova Tuesday, 14-4.
The Cardinals’ No. 1 doubles team of Daniel Kagramanov and Haru Kikutani won two of three sets.
“Daniel and Haru worked well today against a tough Villanova team,” Bishop Diego coach Natlee Hapeman said. “Haru and Daniel have very quick feet and can cover the court well. Daniel’s serve was on today and Haru had a great net game. Together they complemented each other and came home with two wins.”
Bishop Diego is now 2-9 overall and 1-5 in league play.
“The team lost as a whole but they have improved a lot,” Hapeman said. “Felix Wicke played the best ground game so far this season. Sean Kelly and Max Schwarz had some great pass shots between the opponents doubles. The Cardinals played hard today.”
