Santa Maria’s Fourth of July “Tech-tacular” Drone Show & Festival will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at Elks Baseball Field behind the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St.

The free family event will feature an outdoor concert beginning at 6 p.m. with ’80s tribute band The Molly Ringwald Project.

Picnicking is permitted, but barbecuing, tailgating, alcohol, or tent canopies are not allowed. Refreshments will be available for sale by local food trucks.

The event will include children’s arts and craft activities, lawn games, bounce houses, and free recreational swimming, 3-7 p.m.

Abel Maldonado Community Center will host a free family Open House, 2-8:30 p.m.
Concluding the event will be a custom Patriotic Drone Show provided by Droneshow.com at 9 p.m. No personal fireworks will be allowed.

Carpooling is encouraged; limited parking will be available at Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center with general parking open on McClelland Street and the Santa Maria Civic Center parking structure between City Hall and the Public Library.
