St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Thrift Store in Grover Beach has donated $3,000 from its proceeds to the Central Coast Funds for Children (CCFC).

“We are thrilled to contribute $3,000 to support children on the Central Coast. Our donation will help provide essential needs for children facing food insecurity, homelessness, or lacking basic medical care,” said David Murray.

“We are extremely grateful to receive such a generous donation for kids in need on the Central Coast,” said Ann Berry-Gallegos, president of Central Coast Funds for Children.

The thrift store is a not-for-profit outreach ministry of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Arroyo Grande, and serves the community by recycling a range of donated articles.

The thrift store offers clean, usable clothing, kitchenware, gifts, and other items that are sorted, repaired, and priced reasonably, organizers said.

The store’s mission is to give back to the community that supports it.

“Each month we make significant donations from thrift shop proceeds to one of 12 local charitable organizations,” organizers said.

The Thrift Store is at 1328 Grand Ave., Ste. F, Grover Beach.
 
Central Coast Funds for Children is an all-volunteer 31-year-old nonprofit that raises funds in San Luis Obispo County for children in need. To date, CCFC has donated some $2.4 million to improve the lives of local children.
