Channel League co-champion San Marcos and at-large entry Santa Barbara High received home games for the first round of the CIF-SS baseball playoffs.

A total of six area teams made the divisional playoffs, with Dunn earning a No. 1 seed in Division 9 and Santa Barbara nabbing a fourth seed (based on power ranking) in Division 5. The other entries are Dos Pueblos in Division 3,  San Marcos (D4), Carpinteria (D7) and Bishop Diego (D8).

First-round games will be played Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday, San Marcos (16-11) plays host to Grand Terrace (Sunkist League No. 2, 17-7) in a Division 4 opener and Frontier League-champion Bishop Diego  (10-5) travels to Nordhoff (Citrus Coast No. 4, 11-14) in Division 8.

Friday’s games have Channel League co-champ Dos Pueblos (18-10) playing at Burbank-Burroughs (Pacific No. 1, 20-4), Santa Barbara (Channel at-large, 14-14) hosting Loara (Coast No.2, 16-8-1) Carpinteria (Citrus Coast No. 3, 17-5) visiting Flintridge Prep (Prep co-No.1, 11-12) and Redlands Advent (Tri-County Premier No. 3, 7-6) at Dunn (Frontier No. 2, 11-7).

The CIF determines playoff groupings by current regular season data.
