Bishop Diego boys volleyball shined throughout the spring, putting together the best season in program history and clinching its first-ever CIF-SS championship.

The Cardinals battled their way through the Division 5 playoffs before claiming a four-set victory over St. Anthony in the title match in the Brick House.

As a result of the team’s success, Bishop Diego headlined the All CIF-SS Division 5 boys volleyball honorees.

Senior outside hitter Damien Krautmann was as clutch as they come throughout the postseason, serving the match-winning ace in the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship on his way to the CIF-SS Div. 5 Player of the Year award.

Bishop Diego head coach Dillan Bennett guided the Cardinals to their 29-win season, a Tri-Valley League championship and the CIF-SS D5 title, and was rewarded as the CIF-SS Div. 5 Coach of the Year.

Senior outside hitter John Michael Flint and junior setter Luke Walters also played key roles in the team’s offensive success en route to being named to the All CIF-SS Div. 5 team.
