Don’t forget to change your clocks this weekend when the time “falls back” with the end of daylight saving time early Sunday morning.
Clocks will be set back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday — giving people an extra hour of sleep Saturday night — and evenings will get darker earlier for the next several months.
Each year, daylight saving time starts on the second Sunday in March, setting the clocks ahead an hour, and ends on the first Sunday in November.
Most electronic devices, such as smart phones and computers, will change time automatically, but traditional clocks and watches will need to be changed manually.
Local fire officials say the time change is a good reminder to also change the batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors to keep batteries fresh and families safe.
The clocks will “spring forward” again when daylight saving time begins on March 10.
