The Coastal Warriors 9U baseball squad earned the USSSA Tourney by the Sea Tournament over the weekend at Girsh Park in Goleta.
The Warriors, playing in their first tournament of the summer, outscored their opponents 57-17 and hit a whopping .609 as a team.
After a 12-2 semifinal win courtesy of a three-hitter by Brandon Bingham and Colton Nagaoka, the Warriors came back from a six-run deficit against Prime X All-American in the championship and captured the title with a walk-off victory.
Davis Fiore led the offense in the title game, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI. Meanwhile, Finn O’Donnell closed out the championship with three strong innings on the bump.
Throughout the tournament, Ryder Miller and Noah Ramirez-Medina paced the offensive attack with home runs. Meanwhile, the Warriors used six different pitchers to claim the tournament title.
The Coastal Warriors 9U roster includes Brandon Bingham, Colton Nagaoka, Davis Fiore, Finn O’Donnell, JT Standring, Noah Ramirez-Medina, Preston Cornelius, Ryder Miller, Sutter Anderson, Wes Curry and Wyatt Perry.
The team is managed by Jacob Galindo, with coaches Gabe Arteaga and Jimmy Brakka.
