The Coastal Warriors 9U club baseball team captured the USSSA Santa Barbara Summer Championships title last weekend at Girsh Park in Goleta.
The Warriors have now won back-to-back tournament titles after scoring 39 runs across four games over the weekend.
It wasn’t an easy road to the championship, however, as the Warriors found themselves down seven runs in the championship game.
The Warriors offense then caught fire, crawling back into the game before Sutter Anderson supplied the walk-off hit to defeat the Total Baseball Vipers and win the title.
Jack Bischoff, Davis Fiore and Anderson each went 2-for-2 and combined for five RBI in the championship.
Throughout the tournament, Fiore belted a pair of home runs and Bischoff led the way with a .750 batting average.
The Coastal Warriors 9U roster includes Colton Nagaoka, Davis Fiore, Finn O’Donnell, Jack Bischoff, JT Standring, Kellen Kearns, Noah Ramirez-Medina, Ryder Miller, Sutter Anderson, Wes Curry and Wyatt Perry.
The team is managed by Jacob Galindo, with coach Jeff Bischoff and bat boys Jake Standring and Benny Bischoff.
