The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, along with its partners from Behavioral Wellness, invite community members to attend Coffee with a Cop, highlighting the agencies’ innovative Mental Health Co-Response Teams.

The free event will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 at the Goleta Marketplace Starbucks.

Coffee with a Cop is a community outreach program designed to provide a relaxed environment for residents to chat with local law enforcement officers.

The March 6 coffee offers an opportunity for open dialogue, building relationships, and addressing any concerns community members may have.

The event will showcase the Mental Health Co-Response Teams, a collaboration between law enforcement and mental health professionals.

The teams respond to mental health crises in the community with compassion and expertise, and play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in crisis while connecting them with the appropriate resources and support.
