The Dos Pueblos LL 12U All-Stars kicked off the District 63 Tournament with a 9-0 rout of Ventura LL on Tuesday at Goleta Valley South LL.
The duo of Matteo Conant and Nick Brakka dominated on the mound, combining to throw a no-hitter while striking out eight batters and allowing just one baserunner.
Conant was also in the middle of the offensive attack, going 2-for-2 on the day with a triple. Santiago Grande and Maurico Galicia each doubled in the win as well.
Dos Pueblos LL will now face off against either Carpinteria LL or Foothill LL on Friday at 5 p.m. at Goleta Valley South LL.
The DPLL 12U All-Stars are Cyrus Brunner, David Ramirez, Henry Wood, Hudson Campbell, Julian Flores, Kaz Gonzalez, Matteo Conant, Mauricio Galicia, Max Nelson, Nick Brakka, Santiago Grande, Sebastian Gutierrez, and Tyler Newendorp.
The team is managed by Kenny Newendorp, with assistant coaches Bryan Conant and Mario Galicia.
