An evening of stand-up comedy will get serious about supporting the Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation with a summer fundraiser called Maggie’s Mashup: Comedy Show for a Cause, 6 p.m. Saturday, July 18 at La Lieff Winery, 210 Gray Ave., Santa Barbara.

Earlier in the day, 3-5 p.m., attendees will have a chance to meet adoptable animals.

Hosted by comedian and producer Maggie Hyde, Maggie’s Mashup features a lineup of Los Angeles and local comedians, including headliner Jessica Keenan (“The Tonight Show”), along with Dana Teller, Amanda Michelle, Anna Vocino & Loren Tarquinio, and Prisilly Goose.

The event is produced by Hyde and Michelle, who regularly stage shows in Los Angeles and beyond, with a focus on diverse, women-led, and LGBTQIA+ voices in comedy.

La Lieff Winery is a women-owned, dog-friendly local venue known for its strong ties to the community and shared commitment to animal advocacy, organizers said.

“We’ve always loved doing shows at La Lieff because it’s such a welcoming, dog-friendly space,” said Michelle. “Being able to bring comedy here while also helping animals find homes just makes the night feel even more meaningful.

“Come laugh, have a drink, and maybe leave with a new best friend.”

Tickets are available here.

Together, Hyde and Michelle have produced sold-out shows at venues including The Comedy Store, The Ice House, Westside Comedy Theater Santa Monica, Flappers Comedy Club, The Crow, Westside Comedy New York, and major comedy festivals nationwide.

Founded in 2002, Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation, an all-volunteer nonprofit, works in partnership with Santa Barbara County Animal Services to provide critical support for at-risk animals, helping ensure more pets have the opportunity to find safe, loving homes, event organizers said.
