CommUnify will recognize this year’s honorees for the 17th Annual Champions Dinner & Awards, 6 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at Alisal Ranch & Resort, 150 Alisal Road in Solvang (CommUnify is formerly CAC/Community Action Commission.)
The 2023 award recipients include Deckers Brands, for essential work supporting nonprofits through the Deckers Gives program; The Rev. Randall Day, rector at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, for his work improving the health and well-being of the community’s most vulnerable residents with grace and compassion; and the Santa Maria Elks, for their commitment to making philanthropy integral to their mission through charitable works.
Master of ceremonies for the evening will be Catherine Remak, co-host of KLITE’s morning show “Gary & Catherine.”
Auctioneer Jim Glines will conduct a live auction featuring six items, as well as a Fund-a-Need Paddle Raise.
All proceeds from the event will support the seven vital programs in CommUnify’s Family & Youth Services division.
