The Santa Barbara Community Development and Public Works departments, in compliance with Santa Barbara County health guidelines, have resumed in-person public counter service at 630 Garden St.

All counters now operate under a check-in system, and customers are urged to sign up for a time slot before their visit. For those who come in without an advance appointment via the check-in system, a work station in the building (to right of Building and Safety Counter) will be offered for check-in for the next available time slot.

Customers can also visit SantaBarbaraca.gov/CounterCheckIn from any smart phone or mobile device to check-in prior to arrival.

Virtual appointments and consultation by phone or email also are available during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and alternate Fridays; click here for calendar of closed Fridays.
