Cottage Health has announced the recipients of its 2023 Physician of the Year Award, an annual recognition honoring physicians on the medical staff for their exemplary performance.
The award recipients are:
Paul DiModica, DO, emergency medicine, Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital.
Bryan Goldberg, MD, emergency medicine, Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital.
Miriam Parsa, MD, chief pediatric medical officer, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Chase Warren, MD, psychiatry, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
“This year’s Physician of the Year Award recipients personify a commitment to excellence and patient well-being,” said Dr. Ed Wroblewski, vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at Cottage Health.
“Working alongside these medical professionals, it is an honor to witness their profound impact on the lives of their patients and everyone around them,” he said.
The selection process for the award is a testament to Cottage Health’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating excellence within its medical staff, the hospital said. The Physicians Reward and Recognition Team reviews nominations submitted by Cottage Health staff members.
To be eligible, nominees must be Cottage Health Medical Staff members. Honorees are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation, considering criteria such as dedication to the profession and patients, respect and courtesy, collaborative practices, and efficient resource utilization.
