Cottage Health has opened a new Cottage Urgent Care Center in Ventura with the goal of providing complete care within 45 minutes.
Recognizing that access to care is key in preventing a minor issue from becoming a more serious health concern, the new Cottage Urgent Care Center, at 1708 S. Victoria Ave., will provide the community with access from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., 365 days a year.
Cottage providers will staff the center and include a licensed nurse practitioner, a radiology technician and clinical concierges dedicated to providing the highest quality care.
Conditions treated include cold and flu symptoms, scrapes and minor cuts, minor burns, sprains, allergies, earache, urinary infection, skin conditions, rash, poison oak and other minor ailments and injuries. Patients requiring attention for more serious medical conditions may be referred to a local emergency department or physician.
Onsite services include X-rays and lab services. The center will also offer physical exams for student sports participation. Walk-ins are welcome and online appointments will be available.
The new center is the sixth Cottage Urgent Care facility in the tri-county region from San Luis Obispo to Camarillo. Other sites are in Goleta on Hollister Avenue and on Calle Real; Santa Maria on North Broadway; Oxnard on West Esplanade Drive; and Camarillo on Las Posas.
Additional Cottage Urgent Care centers opening in coming months include in Buellton at Buellton Village and in San Luis Obispo at Marigold Center.
