Santa Barbara County now reports 44.5% voter turnout in the June 2 election with a few ballots left to process.
The latest results released Thursday totaled 111,255 ballots, only 1,100 more than the previous count and with results unchanged.
Close races on election night now appear decided: Luis Esparza beat incumbent judge Thomas Adams for a Superior Court seat, and the Fifth District County supervisor race will be decided in a November runoff between Ricardo Valencia and Maribel Aguilera-Hernandez. Cory Bantilan is in third, and several hundred votes behind second-place Aguilera-Hernandez in the latest count.

The County Elections Office has to finalize and certify the election results before July 2.

Susan Salcido (incumbent) ran uncontested and had 96% of the vote in semi-official results.
Treasurer-Tax Collector-Public Administrator
Kimberly Tesoro ran uncontested and had 98.5% of the vote in semiofficial results.
The charter amendment related to leases of city property needs majority approval to pass (50% plus one vote) and had 67.5% approval in semiofficial results.

The sales tax rate increase from 8.75% to 9.25% would fund street repair and maintenance. It needs a two-thirds majority to pass, which is 66% plus one vote. It had 46.9% approval in semiofficial results.Â
