A community meeting about the Santa Barbara County Fire Department‘s planned new station in Orcutt will take place Tuesday night, March 1.
The open forum will begin at 6 p.m. at Foster Road Church of Christ, 795 E. Foster Road.
Fire Chief Mark Hartwig and Fourth District Supervisor Bob Nelson will provide information about plans to build what will become the third county fire station in Orcutt.
Fire Station 25 is proposed for a 4.6-acre site at the western end of Brookside Avenue, north of Union Valley Parkway.
The new station would join two others serving the Orcutt area, including Station 26 at 1600 Tiffany Park Court west of Highway 101 and Station 21 on Union Avenue in Old Town Orcutt.
Another station east of Orcutt serves the Sisquoc and Garey areas.
