Firefighters extinguished a small vegetation fire that sparked near the southbound Highway 101 in Summerland Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews first responded at 6 a.m. for a report of a vegetation fire.
They found a 50-by-50-foot spot fire near the train tracks and crews quickly extinguished it, according to the Montecito Fire Department.
Smoke was visible from nearby beaches and elsewhere in the community.
