Emergency crews responded Wednesday morning to a report of a growing 2-acre vegetation fire in Solvang.
Crews first converged on the 1600 block of Mission Drive at around 10:46 a.m. and reported that the blaze was moving uphill in a field at a moderate rate of spread.
Crews gained control and extinguished the blaze, and no structures were reportedly threatened.
Crews were staging in the nearby parking lot of the Santa Ines Mission, according to emergency radio traffic.
“Motorists and members of the public are advised to avoid the area to ensure the safety of fire personnel and the community,” Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Mike Gray said.
No additional information was available.
