A cyclist was taken to the hospital Tuesday after colliding with a vehicle on Sycamore Canyon Road in Montecito, according to the Montecito Fire Protection District.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel were dispatched shortly after 11 a.m. to the crash at Sycamore Canyon and Westmont roads, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The 27-year-old male cyclist was taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of “traumatic injuries,” fire officials said.
His name and details on his condition were not available.
The driver of the Toyota hatchback, whose name was not released, was not injured.
The collision was under investigation by the CHP.
