Cyrus Symington set a Cate School record in the 100 breaststroke in the Rams’ swimming debut against Buena on Thursday at Buena.
The Rams swept the meet, with the boys edging out the Bulldogs 78-74 and the girls winning 94-64.
Symington clocked 1:04.44 in the 100 breast, breaking the previous record of 1:07.80. He finished .5 seconds off the school record in the 200 IM (2:03.73) and was part of winning 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Ted Pham was a double winner, taking the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Zach White took first in the 200 and 500 freestyle races.
Kendall Rhee won the 200 IM and 100 breast and swam on the winning 200 medley relay for the Cate girls.
Nicole Teh also swam on the 200 medley and first-place 200 free relay and won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle events.
