David Allen Paquette, known to many as Dave, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 58.

Born on Dec. 27, 1967 in Santa Barbara, Dave spent much of his life exploring new places, meeting new people, and embracing adventure wherever he found it.

Though he lived in many cities throughout his life, Santa Barbara remained both his birthplace and his final resting place.

Dave was a beloved father, son, brother and friend. He was known for his adventurous spirit, love of celebration, and determination to live life on his own terms.

Whether sharing stories or gathering around a barbecue, he brought energy and personality wherever he went. Life with Dave was rarely boring, and those who knew him are likely to have a story to tell.

Many in the Santa Barbara community may remember Dave from his years working in the medical robotics industry with Computer Motion and InTouch Health. He took pride in being part of the teams that helped bring innovative medical technologies to life.

Dave is survived by his mother, sister, two brothers, three children, and several grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his bold spirit, his love of adventure, and the lasting impression he made on the lives of those who knew him.

Dave’s family is remembering the road trips, meals shared, laughter, stories, and the unique personality that made him who he was. His absence will be deeply felt.
