The Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation has announced that the 10th annual Day of Hope event raised $373,630 in support of local cancer patients at Mission Hope Cancer Center. This year’s event revenue total exceeds last year’s event outcome of $344,720.
“What really makes the annual Day of Hope event so special is the incredible support Mission Hope Cancer Center patients receive from the entire community,” said Sue Andersen, president/CEO of Marian Regional Medical Center.
“Whether it’s a $1 donation or a gift of hundreds of dollars, the outpouring of generosity from our local community members is truly amazing,” she said.
Day of Hope has raised more than $2 million since its inception in 2014, with fundraising efforts totaling $2,287,617 over 10 years.
In addition to celebrating the revenue numbers, the following community members and teams were recognized for their exceptional fundraising efforts.
There are two categories for Day of Hope fundraising teams — Company Teams embrace their company name and the company’s team effort to fund-raise for the cause; Friends and Family Teams are led by an individual or a family.
