Santa Barbara High flag football got solid performances from its offense and defense in a 25-6 win over Rio Mesa on Thursday.
Quarterback Dayzia Mendoza spread the ball around, throwing four touchdowns to four different receivers.
The first of those touchdowns was thrown to Ale Acocer Vasquez to get the scoring started in the first half. Mendoza then connected with Izzy Garofalo later in the half to take a 12-0 lead into the locker room.
The Dons offense kept its momentum out of the break as Mendoza led a drive down the field and hit Linda Jeronimo out of the backfield to extend the lead.
The fourth and final touchdown by Mendoza was thrown to Carolina Esparza to secure the 25-6 win. Esparza ended the day with 10 total catches.
The Santa Barbara defense dominated all night, with Esparza, Chloe Adams and Lena Fackler all picking up interceptions in the win.
