The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is seeking additional victims and witnesses after arresting a Santa Barbara man in a child sex-abuse investigation.
Joshua Daniel Luft, 42, was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail last month on suspicion of lewd acts with a child, sexual battery, and annoying or molesting a child, according to Raquel Zick, sheriff’s public information officer.
He has since been released after posting $25,000 bail.
Detectives began the investigation on March 28 after receiving a report of lewd acts involving a juvenile girl on Sunshine Lane off Paradise Road in the Upper Santa Ynez River area, Zick said.
Detectives believe there may be more victims associated with Luft and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
