Two adults and a juvenile were charged with several felonies including first-degree murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Santa Maria on Dec. 10.
The shooting on the 300 block of West Sheila Lane killed Anthony Hernandez, 20, of Santa Maria. Despite life-saving measures, Hernandez died due to his injuries, police said.
The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges Tuesday against a 16-year-old unnamed juvenile, 18-year-old Jesus Lopez-Ramirez and
21-year-old Alex Brandon Lopez-Ramirez.


Jesus Lopez-Ramirez was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder, and felony counts of possession of an assault rifle, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a loaded firearm without proper registration, and street terrorism. Prosecutors also allege the special circumstance of murder committed to further the activities of a criminal street gang.
Alex Brandon Lopez-Ramirez was charged with possession of an assault rifle, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, street terrorism, and accessory after the crime of murder.
The 16-year-old was charged with first-degree murder and accused of murder committed to further the activities of a criminal street gang.
All three were arrested on Friday, Santa Maria Police said.
A GoFundMe page to help the Hernandez family with funeral expenses had raised more than $7,700 as of Tuesday.
