To celebrate the season, Lompoc Parks and Recreation is hosting a Pooch Plunge for the community at the Lompoc Aquatic Center, 3:30-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22. The fee is $10 per pooch.
Pet owners must pre-register for each pup and provide proof of vaccination (distemper, parvo and rabies). There will be limited drop-ins accepted on the day of the event.
Those interested can pre-register at the Anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut Ave.
