A suspect in a domestic-violence incident was arrested by the Santa Barbara Police Department on Friday afternoon on the city’s Westside.
Investigators learned that the man, Felix Hernandez of Santa Barbara, had allegedly attacked the victim, according to Lt. Ryan DeJohn.
“He realized he was being observed by others and fled the area,” DeJohn said.
At about 3:45 p.m., Hernandez was located asleep in his vehicle on the 600 block of Mulberry Avenue and was taken into custody without incident.
He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of numerous felonies, including domestic battery and kidnapping, DeJohn said.
Details on the victim and their injuries were not released.
