Dos Pueblos opened the Anaheim Lions Baseball Tournament with a pair of wins on Monday. The Chargers defeated Lakeridge, Ore., 8-4, and blanked California High, 6-0.

Lukas Ginder, Owen Simandle and Jesse Di Maggio all pitched in the opener.

Ginder started and pitched 2.2 innings, striking out three. Simandle pitched 3 innings of one run ball and struck out two batters to earn the win. Di Maggio threw a scoreless 1.1 innings in relief of Simandle.  

Ryder Kendall and Zach Gesswein doubled and drove in runs, and Matteo Calene also contributed to the offense, said coach George Hedricks.

Sasha Holmes pitched five shutout innings and struck out six to earn the win against California

Zach Zbinden pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

Di Maggio tripled and Calene doubled to help pace the offense. 

Dos Pueblos is now 7-8 on the season.
