Capistrano Valley used its size advantage to hand Dos Pueblos a 67-52 loss in a non-league boys basketball game on Saturday at Sovine Gym.
The game got away from the Chargers in the third quarter as Capo Valley outscored them 17-9 to build a 56-39 lead.
“They had size and they were able to convert in their half-court offense,” said DP coach Joe Zamora. “We played better in spurts, and it was a good opportunity for our players to get better.”
Dos Pueblos (1-6) is back in action Monday at the Jim Bashore Holiday Classic at Carpinteria High. It opens pool play against Pasadena Poly at 1:30 p.m.
