Dos Pueblos boys golf earned a Channel League victory over Oxnard High on Monday at Glen Annie Golf Course in Goleta.
The Chargers came together for a team score of 386 to beat out the Yellow Jackets’ mark of 444.
“The main varsity guys travelled to the (Los Angeles) Angels game to accept the (CIF-SS Academic) award with a team GPA of 3.986,” Dos Pueblos head coach Kevin Ahlers said. “This opened up the varsity lineup for some JV guys to step up.
“We had three players during our match hit personal records. It was really awesome to hear about the players putting up some low rounds.”
Mason Kettmann led the way for the Chargers with a match-best score of 74 to earn medalist honors.
He was followed by teammates Max Heinemann (76), Ollie Reynolds (77), Sam MacNaughton (79) and Brooklyn Bustos (80).
Dos Pueblos (15-5, 5-1 Channel League) will take on Santa Barbara High at Santa Barbara Golf Club on Thursday at 1 p.m.
