Dos Pueblos boys lacrosse clinched at least a share of the Channel League title with a 17-1 rout of rival San Marcos in Thursday’s regular-season finale at Scott O’Leary Stadium.
The Channel League championship is the third straight for the Dos Pueblos lacrosse program, which has a 23-1 record against league opponents over the last three seasons.
“DP was in control from the opening whistle, dominating time of possession and getting a lot of good looks at the goal,” Charger head coach Lucas Martinez said.
The Dos Pueblos defense took center stage in the win, holding the Royals without a goal until the fourth quarter as the offense built up a commanding 15-0 lead heading into the third.
Senior Everett Kuhm celebrated his Senior Night with a team-high four goals, which were the first goals of his career. Meanwhile, senior Owen Anton also found the back of the net for the first time as a Charger and freshman Lou Wendel scored twice.
Seniors Eder Soriano and Jaime Lopez also had strong showings on Senior Night at the faceoff.
Dos Pueblos (9-4, 7-1 Channel League) will await the release of the CIF-SS playoff pairings.
