Dos Pueblos conceded two goals in the last 17 minutes and suffered a 3-2 boys soccer defeat against Pacifica in an early-morning Channel League match on Saturday at Scott O’Leary Stadium.

The Tritons tied the score at 2-2 in the 63rd minute on a deflected shot and tallied the game winner in the 74th minute on a breakaway.

Freshman Kaj Laub gave DP a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute, forcing a turnover in the back and then scoring.

Pacifica equalized on a penalty kick five minutes later.

The Chargers regained the lead early in the second half as Matt Sillers took a tap off from Fin Silver and finished a left-footed shot.

Coach Matt York gave Man of the Match honors to Laub.

“He created some opportunities for us and played a strong game with his effort and hustle,” said York.

The coach also commended center back Ethan Foong. “He had to play with a lot of combinations of other players due to injuries and illness and played his heart out for 80 strong minutes.

Dos Pueblos falls to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in league.
