Dos Pueblos boys water polo faced off against a pair of Clovis teams on Friday in a tournament at Arroyo Grande and came out with two wins.
Dos Pueblos 8, Clovis High 5
The Chargers started the day with a comeback 8-5 victory over Clovis High.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first quarter, Dos Pueblos scored four unanswered in the second to take a 4-2 lead. Then, they added on three more goals in the third to take a 7-4 lead into the final quarter.
In the fourth, the Chargers shut the door on the 8-5 win.
Jaden Moore led the way with four goals while Reggie Robles racked up nine saves in the goal.
Dos Pueblos 12, Clovis North 7
The second win of the day was also in come-from-behind fashion, this one after losing the first quarter 3-2.
The Chargers bounced right back in the second, however, outscoring the Broncos 5-2 to take a 7-5 lead into the third.
It was all Dos Pueblos in the final two quarters, putting the finishing touches on the 12-7 victory.
A pair of freshmen contributed for the Chargers, as Lucas Neushul and Grant Nelson scored three and two goals, respectively en route to the win. Moore also had three goals for himself while Robles had another nine-save performance.
