Dos Pueblos dropped its last two games at the L.A. Chargers Invitational flag football tournament on Saturday and finished with a 2-2 record.

The Chargers were blanked by defending CIF-SS Division 1 champion and state top-ranked JSerra, 28-0, in their first game and fell to 13-7 against Bonita Vista of the San Diego Section.

Quarterback Ava Taiji passed to Kinda Ahmad-Reda for DP’s lone touchdown on the day. The score was set up by a 45-yard punt return from Alma Basave. 

Coach Doug Caines praised the defensive efforts of Makyla Watt and Nya Ribbens against Bonita Vista.

Dos Pueblos (3-2) is back in action Thursday at Lompoc.
