Ryan Calkins and Kate Peterson scored for Dos Pueblos in a 2-0 non-league girls soccer win over Carpinteria on Friday at Scott OLeary Stadium.
Goalkeepers Elena Andrews and Maggie Gallup combined on the shutout, which was the first win of the season for the Chargers (1-1).
Calkins scored after Miranda Hough created a loose ball situation after Madelyn Jones sent a long ball into the penalty area.
Peterson headed in a free kick by Trisha Lo for the second late in the second half.
Carpinteria (1-1-2) got strong performances from Sophia Mora and Ashley Verduzco, said coach Freddy Martinez.
“We played press and we played aggressively, and I was really happy with the team’s overall performance,” said Martinez.
