Dos Pueblos raced out to an 11-2 lead in the first half and defeated Valencia 12-3 in a non-league girls lacrosse match that was called early on Monday at Scott O’Leary Stadium.
Avery Ball led the Chargers with four goals and Lauren Elliott, Reagan Arnold, Hannah Martin and Beth Baker each scored two goals. Elliott won six draw controls.
“We are finally able to gain chemistry both on the attacking and defending side,” said DP coach Anais Jimenez. “It’s wonderful to see the team make beautiful connections and be so supportive of each other.”
Jimenez noted that senior goalie Maddie Nees reached the 300-saves milestone in her DP career on Saturday at the Gold Coast Tournament.
