Dos Pueblos girls tennis opened its 2026 season with a 12-6 victory over Camarillo High on Thursday in Goleta.
The Chargers dominated singles action, taking all nine of the available points, and added three wins in doubles play to earn the overall victory.
“Even with several key players out with injuries, this was a good start for the team,” Dos Pueblos head coach Alan Richter said. “We were able to get the entire team on the court, which gave our freshmen an opportunity to contribute to the team’s success.”
Zella Cassidy and Atria Husein each went 3-0 in singles, while Amara Zumbroegel, Gigi Da Re and Adhya Reddy each earned one win to round out the sweep.
Meanwhile, the Charger duos of Autumn Warmerdam/Nikita Fisher, Lauren Wirtz/Malaika Oulate and Nicollette Pfeifer/Addy Barth collected one victory apiece in doubles play.
