The Dos Pueblos LL 10 All-Stars punched their ticket to the District 63 Semifinals with a 6-2 victory over Ventura LL on Thursday.
Ventura LL struck first, jumping out to an early 2-0 lead. However, DPLL snatched the lead in the fourth with a five-run frame.
In that inning, Aidan Gonzalez provided the big blow with a bases-clearing single to take a 3-2 lead.
The other two runs for DPLL came on RBI singles from Reid Wilson and Gavin Garcia.
Dax Snowden struck out five batters in his two innings of work while Gonzalez tossed the final four innings and allowed just three hits.
Jeremiah Bodenhamer, Luke Connolly and Snowden led the team with two hits apiece.
DPLL will now take on Goleta Valley South LL in the semifinals on Monday.
The DPLL 10U All-Stars are Jeremiah Bodenhamer, Luke Connolly, Isaiah Fennell, Nico Flores, Gavin Garcia, Aidan Gonzalez, Kaz Gonzalez, Teagan Hug, Lincoln Moran, Colin Ruiz, Dax Snowden and Reid Wilson.
The team is coached by Jono Wilson, Robert Ruiz, Adrian Flores and Matt Moran.
