William Checketts went 3 for 3 to lead the offense for the Dos Pueblos Little League 12-under All Stars in a 12-4 win over Santa Paula in an opening-round game of the District 63 Tournament on Friday.

Checketts contributed to a five-run fourth inning that broke the game open. Alex Gonzalez and Tanner Hug also had RBIs in the inning.

DPLL collected eight hits in the game.

Landon Ngai gave DPLL a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Ngai started on the mound and allowed one hit and two runs while striking out four in 2.2 innings. Evan Potter finished the game, throwing 10 strikes out of 15 pitches.

The DPLL 12U All-Star team is made up of Tyler Henderson, Landon Ngai, Alex Gonzalez, Kai Ishino, William Checketts, Titus Bodenhamer, Connor Regetz, Tanner Hug, Tyler Weber, Paul Aljian, Evan Potter and Caeden Lee. The team is managed by Jeremy Bodenhamer, with assistant coaches Evi Limon-Ngai and Travis Weber.
