The Dos Pueblos Little League 13U All-Stars finished as the runner-ups in the SoCal State Tournament in San Diego on Friday.

DPLL was defeated by Scripps Ranch LL on Thursday and Friday to give Scripps Ranch the SoCal championship.

“I am very proud of these young men,” DPLL head coach Chad Wang said. “Even though we didn’t finish the way we wanted, they played their hearts out and proudly represented Dos Pueblos Little League.

“I am very grateful to all families and the DPLL community that supported this team on the road.”

On Thursday, Scripps Ranch’s offense erupted en route to a 13-4 victory to force a winner-take-all game on Friday.

Scripps Ranch carried that momentum over to Friday, putting together a strong all-around performance to secure a 12-2 win and the SoCal title.
