The Dos Pueblos LL Junior All-Stars earned a spot in the District 63 championship game with a 9-0 victory over Foothill LL on Wednesday at Girsh Park.
DPLL will now await their opponent for the title matchup back at Girsh Park on Saturday.
As for Wednesday’s win, the trio of Cash Phillips, Andrew Wang and Zane Pflanzer combined to hold the Foothill LL offensive attack to just one hit and strike out eight.
Phillips got the start and fired 3 â…” scoreless frames, while Wang chipped in one inning and Pflanzer closed out the win with 2 â…“ scoreless innings.
On the offensive side of the ball, DPLL collected 14 total hits to pull away for the win. Philip Lowe led the way with three hits and a pair of RBI.
Meanwhile, Oliver Palmer, Jacob Stock, Matias Csordas and Pflanzer followed with two hits apiece.
